Allen Tippetts

Allen began photographing his surroundings as a young boy growing up in the Sun River Valley of west central Montana, where photography became more than just a hobby.

Although he began with film, Allen now produces images using pixel based technology which are then finished in a digital darkroom to produce the final print. He does not add or subtract elements from his fine art photographs, and limits digital enhancement to the basic tools of the traditional darkroom; composition, contrast, saturation and color balance.

Allen has exhibited his work at various galleries and restaurants in the Salt Lake City area and his work has found homes in Indiana, Canada, Arizona, Montana, and Utah. He now specializes in large scale prints on canvas.
